The project
Overview
Vetorchidée is the veterinary clinic of Dr. Chahrazed Kenani Achache in Sahloul, Sousse. Moocky replaced the clinic’s old WordPress site with a custom web platform built around how the clinic actually works. Pet owners can book an appointment, find out how urgent their pet’s problem is, check prices and order products in a few taps. The team manages appointments, opening hours, orders and site content from one admin panel.
For pet owners
Booking in four steps on real availability. The owner picks the species, the reason for the visit, a day and a free slot. The slots come from the clinic’s real schedule, and the database stops two people from booking the same slot.
AI triage assistant. The owner describes what they see in their own words. An assistant built on Claude suggests the right type of consultation and practical advice, such as what to bring. It never gives a diagnosis or recommends a treatment. Clear emergencies (breathing problems, poisoning, seizures, accidents…) are caught by keyword rules before any AI call, and the owner is told to call the clinic right away. If the AI is unavailable, the rules take over.
Live “Open / Closed” badge based on Tunis time.
Care and prices page, kept up to date from the admin panel.
Vet shop: product catalogue, cart, in-store pickup or delivery, and cash on delivery to suit local habits.
Email confirmations to the owner and the clinic. One-tap WhatsApp contact is available on every page.
For the clinic (admin panel)
Daily dashboard with the day’s appointments and orders.
Appointment management: confirm, cancel, mark as done or no-show, add notes, send ready-made WhatsApp messages, and add bookings taken by phone.
Availability: a typical week, slot length and capacity, and one-off closures.
Orders: tracking from confirmed to ready to delivered. Stock goes back up automatically when an order is cancelled.
Content: products and categories with photos, price list, team profiles, Google reviews, Instagram highlights and clinic settings. The team updates everything without a developer.
Visibility: search engines and AI assistants
Full technical SEO: metadata per page, structured data (veterinary clinic, products, FAQ), an automatic sitemap, and optimized share previews, including for WhatsApp.
Search ranking kept from the old site: every old WordPress address, blog posts included, redirects permanently to its new page. The .tn domain redirects to the main .com domain.
Ready for AI search: a live
llms.txtfile (address, hours, prices, team) that updates whenever the admin panel changes, and access explicitly allowed for the crawlers of ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Gemini, Copilot and others, so the clinic can be cited in AI answers.
Performance and reliability
The homepage video shows a poster image first and loads only once the page is ready. Mobile gets a lighter version, and the video is skipped on slow connections, in data-saver mode or with reduced-motion settings.
Images are served as AVIF/WebP and cached on Vercel’s CDN, which keeps the platform within the free plan limits.
Data security: personal data (appointments and orders) can only be read by the admin, enforced by row-level security. Public forms and the AI assistant are rate-limited.
If a service goes down, the site keeps working: without the database, booking and orders fall back to WhatsApp, and appointments are still saved if email fails.
